Wuv, twue wuv

I just love July weddings... Maybe I'm biased because I got married in July, maybe it's because someone I've known for a while chose a July wedding, maybe it's just because so many people I know get married in July and I get to have free food at their receptions... I dunno, something about July weddings just makes me twirl with delight.

Today we attended the wedding of my husband's friend Brad. It was a beautiful wedding.

Unfortunately, the justice of the peace was an entire hour late due to a scheduling error.

Fortunately for you, that means feet pics!

This is the newly-wed couple. What a beautiful bride for Brad! Her name is Jennifer, and from what I can tell, she's totally awesome and also totally obsessed with shoes. But that's ok. Somebody's gotta keep the shoe industry in business after I boycotted them.

Just for fun, I followed the advice from 27 Dresses and I watched Brad's face while the love of his life walked down the aisle, escorted by her son. It was a beautiful moment. As tears streamed down his face, you could feel the amount of love he feels for her. It was a positively magical wedding.

And then the justice of the peace quoted the marriage scene from The Princess Bride, which just totally made my day. We had the guy conducting our ceremony do that too!

After the wedding came lots of good food, and then lots of speeches and lots of toasts.

I was really full and really happy. The natural next step was to dance.

Yes, this is my husband dancing with the groom. They're just that awesome.

Of course, he saved the last dance for me.

  1. Beautiful wedding photos! And of course beautiful, filthy soles you have. Your husband is very blessed to have woman like you. How did he ever come across a full time barefoot woman!!? :)

    1. He walked into church one Sunday morning a few years ago and there I was, barefoot and awesome. He sat next to me that day and has been next to me every day since then. We became instant best friends and fell in love later. It was a perfect love story.

  2. Nice wedding. But don't you think that it could have been great to have your feet decorated with barefoot sandals od toe-ring for this special event ? Or may be you don't like to wear this kind of decoration.

    1. I do have barefoot sandals, but they were packed in a box for the move and I didn't have time to find them. We were running on a very tight schedule that day.

  4. Wow, I feel bad for you that you have such low self esteem that you feel the need to tear down other people.
